THE BACKSTORY
Paramount Prestart started with a brickie who'd seen it all on site. Working across residential builds, he saw the same stuff over and over. Shortcuts, dodgy setups, and safety getting pushed aside just to get the job done quicker. That's when things go wrong. Sometimes it's small injuries, sometimes it's close calls… and sometimes it's a lot worse.
With 13 years on the tools, Adam knows exactly what builders and tradies deal with day in, day out. The pressure, the deadlines, and how safety can end up taking a back seat. But when two workers lost their lives in one month in WA, it hit hard. That was the turning point.
Paramount Prestart was built to change that. At the end of the day, everyone should knock off and get home safe. To their family, their mates, their life outside of work. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just safer sites and looking after your crew.
MEET THE TEAM
Adam Sopp
Founder / Director
Adam has been working in the residential building industry as a bricklayer for 13 years and is the founder of Paramount Prestart. He has also completed his Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) and now works as a WHS Advisor.
Anna De Meersman
Co Founder / HSEQ Principal
Anna holds a Master's in Occupational Health and Safety from Curtin University (thesis focused on WHS and small business). Brings 17 years of Health and Safety experience across the resource sector and tertiary education, along with 3 years operating as a self-employed WHS Consultant.
Manish Kataria
Co Founder / CTO
Manish is a Software Engineering & Product Development Leader who creates fit-for-purpose, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions. With two decades of experience, he combines technical expertise and strategic insight to deliver systems that solve real business problems and stand the test of time.
